Thank you.

I was very happy they wanted to have the car on their catalog........

It took months for them to come out with it...

The process was pretty involved...

But this is the first i have seen it and it looks good.

The new Coker Tires Catalog also displayed the car.I didnt know this until a few emails started to come in telling me.

Cool car but I gotta ask. I thought they nevermade a Z/28 vert except the famous prototype that went to Estes. Did they build some 302 verts prior to releasing the Z/28? Is this one? If so how many of those were made?

You are correct..the Estes car was the only one. Wagonmans car did not start life as a 68Z Vert..and he makes no claim as such. Its just an amazing representation of what GM should have made.

I didn't think it was a Z/28. It doesn't have the Z/28 emblem. But did GM ever make a 302 vert in 67 or 68 before they released the Z/28 as a separate model?

I believe the answer on that one is :noway: The 302 was developed for the trans am racing circuit and is the main thing that makes a z/28 a z/28 in first gens.

OK I'll try one more time. I now the history of the 302. How it was the Z28 order option called Special High Performance Option. It was available before they made the a Z/28 model. My question is before they started the Z/28 model, did they allow the option to be ordered in a convertible? I'm sure they didn't after they came out with the model.

The only Camaro (or car) you could get the SBC 302 in was a Z/28. They named the car after the RPO code for the package that included the 302 engine. No '67 convertibles got the RPO Z28 option, there was only one '68 convertible that got RPO Z28 (Wagonman's is a tribute to it) and no '69 convertibles got the RPO Z28 option...
