: my DSE 2" lowering leaf springs didnt lower my car at all
darko Apr 6th, 09, 07:05 PM I dont have the engine trans or front clip installed yet. Will they go down once that happens? I'm going to be pretty ticked off if these 18's don't tuck into the wheel wells at all.
kind of a crappy cell phone picture, but you get the idea

rlovell383 Apr 6th, 09, 07:23 PM It will definitely lower down some when you install the driveline. Plus it will settle some more after you drive it a bit. Was it the same height with the old springs, with no engine or trans?

Imagine it was, suspension is on the upper bumpstops.
capt68 Apr 7th, 09, 05:47 AM Nice car. It'll drop once you get the car together. Mine looked the same at first. Here's a pic of mine after the car was complete.
darko Apr 7th, 09, 05:49 AM nice stance, what rear tire size is that....could you do me a big favor and measure from the center of the wheel to the top of the fender lip? Mine is at 16" right now
thanks
Metal Man Apr 21st, 09, 08:27 AM Hey Darko,
Did your car settle down yet? I’m having the same issue with DSE 2” drop springs on my 69 had to put 600+ pounds in the trunk to get it to the ride height I’m looking for 24 ½” ground to fender lip. Have had a few phone calls with them and they assure me it will settle but I have my doubts. I’m running 275/40/17’s on the rear and with the engine and transmission installed its still at 27 ½” .
Vegas69 Apr 21st, 09, 08:42 AM Come on guys....you don't even have complete cars and your worried about ride height. If you want it to look perfect with no weight you have one choice. Coil overs. Put them together and then worry about it. My car with coil over had the perfect stance as a roller once it was complete it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to low.

I had to wait a year on my transmission, I just got it a little while ago and havent had the time to work on it lately.
