I sent the body of my 69 off to the bodyman and need to start my interior restoration. I have a Deluxe seat foam set, but standard interior seat covers. Will this work?

Well... it should.
The difference in the buns I believe is only the horizontal groove across the top bun. That groove is formed lower in Deluxe buns and higher up in Standard. For Houndstooth and Comfortweave it's where the row of buttons are.
You can try to slice a thin groove higher up in the foam for the upper pleat. Just cut it 1/2 way through the foam. Just enough to be able to get a hog ring (or Zip Tie) through. I don't see why not.... unless you don't want to bother with the upper pleat.

The grooves along the sides should be in the same spot but I'm not sure. I can check it out tonight pretty easily seeing as how I have a standard bun left over. I'll bet they're in the right spot though.... both upper and lower buns.

Other than the grooves, there's no difference that I've found.

Thanks for the insight Joe. I think I'll give your suggestion a try. Those buns are too expensive to ship/return.
I'm looing forward to posting pics of this car once done. I am doing the grunt/assembly work but Team Camaro members are essentially building it!

I think if you carefully cut a shallow V shaped groove at the proper position in the foam, you can easily hog ring the pleat through it as you would on a true standard bun.
(if you're smart, you'll have an upholstery shop redo the seats.)
