Can someone tell me how to go about polishing up the black plastic seat belt covers for 1969 Camaro? I have recently picked up 2 OEM covers that have scratches and the other regular aging issues over the last 40 years!! Don't want to discolor or wear down grain on these. Any suggestions? Also, looks like I will be needing another 3 of these originals. Anyone have any they might want to sell?? Don

I used my bench grinder / polisher, the same one I used to polish my stainless moldings. I used the loose buff wheel with plastic (white) compound and they came out great. You dont want to over polish them of course.

It depends how deep the scratches are. Mine had some fine scratches that I was able to remove them using this...

I used Novus 3 part plastic polish on mine. Did them by hand. Actually, you probably don't need the third step....it's like water, and I could not tell a difference before and after that step.
