I looked at a 69 camaro today. There is very little info so far. This is what I found.
12 BOLT REAR
FRONT DISC BRAKES
4 SPEED
VIN NUMBER
SAYS HE HAS THE BLOCK FOR IT
How do I find out what this car is or was? What should I look for
Thanks
Dave

Start by reading everything over at CRG (camaros.org) Take notes and use them when you go look at the car. Examine the block and look for the engine code on the stamp pad area and the partial VIN stamp, either on the same pad, or down by the oil filter. If the VIN matches, and it is not a restamp, you can determine what your car was/is. Post a pic of the stamps here....there are some experts here who can spot a fake a mile away. (I'm not one of them)

The 12 bolt, and disc brakes both point toward SS or Z, but almost everything can be changed. CRG will give you lots of little things to look for to help determine if the car has been cobbled up. Often some of these things are overlooked when doing a car.

Could even be a COPO if you're lucky. Look for the engine code on the stamp.

DZ = Z/28
