View Full Version : WIW Ebay X77D80
BelAirBob Apr 7th, 09, 08:07 PM I REALLY like Rally Green, and this Z seems to be all there with the very notable exception of the block, which could not be the correctly dated version. Gotta love the flat hood, and weathered paint. It wreaks of "survivor" in alot of ways.
It's been on Ebay before, and he's lowered the price a bit. Still, $22K sounds stout to me. Opinions welcome! :beers:

okiemark Apr 7th, 09, 08:47 PM Bob, yeah, you've made a couple comments about your love for Ralley green! if it's not the matching block, I wouldn't spend that amount. You can always find a nice Z in better shape and paint it your favorite color. I've always thought if it's not the matching motor, the rest is kinda secondary.
TOM BARKLEY Apr 7th, 09, 08:50 PM Bob...car looks pretty solid but I'm kinda with you. 18K maybe??
BelAirBob Apr 7th, 09, 09:04 PM Tom, you are a mindreader. My thought was $18K as well. Not sure he'd take that, but for $22K, I think that at least the block should match.
kz1000ltd Apr 8th, 09, 02:20 PM Bob, you need to quit looking at Z's until you finish the one you have! No wonder you can't get it done, you're too distracted!!!!! :D
67 Plum Apr 8th, 09, 02:32 PM Depends on how bad you want a Rally green Z.Can't be many X77D80 ones out there.Email the owner and get his phone number. You might get him to meet you in the middle at $20.
P.S. Don't listen to KZ he doesn't even have a Camaro.
rich pern Apr 8th, 09, 05:20 PM This is the same car we were all looking at a while back. Can't remember if this is the same seller or not, or what it sold for last time (about a month ago?).
Killer car for sure, not much difference in 20k vs 18k once the car is done, so if you like it.......... :)
If this is the same seller though, and it did not sell the first time, I'd try the 18k first.
Unless of course he reads these forums :)

hihorse Apr 8th, 09, 05:56 PM Is that the correct casting number for the rear? could be for a nova?
BelAirBob Apr 9th, 09, 03:04 PM Is that the correct casting number for the rear? could be for a nova?
That is a correct casting for late Camaros. My current Z ( the one KZ wants me to finish :) )has it as well, and was built 10C, so just a couple of weeks prior to this one. Anything after Month 08 could have had that casting number. The block in the green car is dead wrong though. I show it as April 1970. The steering wheel is incorrect as well, since the car could never have been an RS- Z28. I look at the other stuff its missing, ie, carb,distributor,exhaust,etc.etc.. That stuff adds up very quickly when putting a DZ 302 together.
