I'm thinking of leather wrapping my stock dash pad in my 68'. Came up with the idea after seeing a new 370Z Nissan at work today. Most new cars are coming standard with leather wrapped dash components to make up for the " cheap " plastic feel of days past. I was thinking of stitching up a leather shifter boot with black leather and red stitching. I'de do the same with the dash pad to match everything else, such as the shifter boot and leather sport seats. I know alot of pro touring guys leather wrap things, so if you got any pics shoot em up. I'm sure im not the only guy whos though of this

Heres a rough idea of what im talking about, style wise.

The main problem with wrapping anything with leather, is that it will dry out and shrink, that and the cost of leather.

The stitching is the same but It still looks good to me. This is one that comes up every year to the local car show. I'd like to do mine like it someday.
