I'm a fan of the somewhat orange metalic available on the surrent GMs, just don't have the courage to sway from my cars original color. You might also consider the color pallet from the 2010 Camaro as well. BTW welcome to the group.

Welcome and I am glad to see some of the younger generation has an interest in these cars. I would suggest looking over the site and cars painted all of the different colors and deciding what you like. Is your future car something you intend to buy or something you already have?

welcome aboard:thumbsup: I was 13 when I got my 67, and it has been great working on it over the past 11 years. :D I guess my favorite color for a 69 would be orange with white rallye stripes. However, I wouldn't go huggar orange. It would be house of kolor tangelo pearl with pearl white stripes. I guess after this it would be lemans blue/white stripes.

Welcome to the site jason. Give us some background on your car and maybe some pics if you have any. I like to keep things closer to the stock look, but there are amazing colors to choose from. Search the forums for colors or pictures (alot of threads on wheels will pull up a bunch of good pics) to give you some ideas.

I think mongoose is trying to visualize the finished car and use that for inspiration.

ps you're a good Dad for including him in your hobby.
The benefits of this last a lifetime.
You go Cheese head. :beers:

Thanks, although his visualization for a 13 yr old is more on the looks than performance I am trying to teach him the basics on suspension and engine tech on his future car. He is aware that if he gives up or decides he has no interest, the car will not be given to him or in other words I will not finish it all by myself and then had it over.
The funniest thing so far on his tear down is that he was removing the radiator "without me know he was" while disconnecting the hoses from underneath he get drenched in antifreeze, I mean soaked. He was sticky all day (my work shop is not close to home, so I wasnt driving back) The good thing was he didnt get a mouth full and know he knows the danger if swallowed.

BTW- I dont consider myself a cheese head, born and raised here but I feel WI should be known for better things. Cheers!

DaveI didn't realize this was your son but this is what my son 14 is talking about on his Chevelle while all the new sheet metal sits in the trailer. At least you son chose a Camaro mine didn't want a Camaro because his dad has one.He may still paint it the same scheme as mine though which I think would be cool.I also like the orange with white stripe look but mine is a custom Glasurit orange.

He didnt have a choice, it was a car I had for quite some time, X11 rs/ss or a 34 ford (which was a little more than he could handle and I sold it anyway to a gentleman in Indiana)
