Maybe a dumb question but my camaro had someone install tail lenses without the gaskets only rtv. I have the new gaskets and lenses and see two different gaskets, one with tabs and one without. Its not totally intuitive the rotation the tabs go? Any help?

If this is a 70-73 the ones with the tabs go on the outside lenses. Someone told me the tabs help to compensate for the curve of the tail panel.
