I stumbled upon it and am trying to figure out what to be looking carefully at. Also not sure what the going market price (range) is for one in very good condition. I'd say the paint/body is a 8 out of 10 and the engine just needs to be detailed. Interior is about 6-7 out of 10 (needs a new headliner). But the car is solid and straight. Any help/ suggestions???

Dave,
Take a good look at the rear frame rails, trunk floor, inside the cars floors to make sure there isn't a lot of rot or rust cancer.
Also check out the rear quarters out really well for bondo by checking it from inside the trunk.
Other than that if you like the car and the price is right for you then I would buy it.
On the 70 it will have front buckets that are different than any other camaro by having adjustable head rests, none of the other second gen camaros had these bucket seats.

3 things a 70Z Body has: Floor mounted gas pedal (Kick Down Switch on pedal arm if an Automatic), Rubber Stubs on Aluminum Bar mounted on front Lower Control Arm and 15" Rims. The Package included the U14 Cluster with 8000rpm Tach, F41 Suspension and a 12 Bolt Posi.

probably check the cowl tag if it has the Z28 on it. I know mine does.

the Z28 is only on the Norwood Ohio built cars, the Van Nuys California plant did not use the same cowl tag
