Today I took the '69 for a spin just to discover my heater started to leak!
Bummer!!
Oh well, I came back home and took it out. I found the lower pipe was leaking where it is attached to the tank. I am just going to order a new one instead of getting this one fixed.

Anyway, when I was taking the inside heater case out I found this plug on top of the case. It has three prongs and on the inside of the case is a coiled spring thing. What is this for???

Ahhh, that thing. It's the blower speed resister. There should be a connector on it. Without it, the only speed that works is high.

Yea, it has a connector on it and I do have different speeds for my fan. Actually, the heater in my car works really good! All the slide controls are easy and smooth.

The only things that don't work real good are the astro vent stuff. The right side vent is missing the clamp for the cable but the right side kick panel vent still works good. The left side astro vent is stiff and kick panel doesn't close completely. I wold like to get new kick panels as mine are starting to look old, well, they are LOL.
