What type of carb return spring should I use on a 69 camaro with the stock gas pedal and throttle rod. I'm also running a 750 Holley DP.

I looked at Summit and they have several, but the springs hook to the same place on the carb as my throttle rod. I'm stumped on this and have no idea which set up to run.

Thanks in advance

There is no particular spring. You just need a decent tension. I highly recommend a dual spring with an inner and outer. I like to stretch them until there is a light tension so as not to wear the throttle shaft out. You need enough tension for safe throttle return, but not so much to wear the shaft. The dual springs are just an added safety measure. The best place to put the springs is so that they are inline with the throw of the linkage. Try not to run them way outside that range.

How about something like part number 555-15127 or 555-15128 from Jeg's. Don't know if those are the correct application or not. But it is like what I am using on my Edel.

Look under the Retrotek throttle arm. That's an original L78 (mine) return spring. It used to mount to the thermostat cover tab. It's green.

I think I'll try one like what Bigblock1969rs posted. I'll have to modify it alittle.

Fred, How do you like the Retrotek efi?

Again, Thanks everyone for the help!!!!
