View Full Version : Know of a dual plane intake with a oil filler neck?

Anyone know who makes or where I can get a dual plane intake man that comes with an oil filler neck and can seat an edelbrock 750 carb? I have the original valve covers with the Chevrolet script on them and I'd like to keep them and not cut holes into them to fill the oil so I was hoping to find a decent dual plane (stock or aftermarket) that has a method for me to fill my oil and still be able to seat my square bore edelbrock 1407 carb. So who makes one? What's the part number so I can do some searches? I've seen several that look like they have a space for a tube but no manufacturer ever seems to focus a picture in that area so I can make certain.

Thanks

If you look at most of the Edlebrock manifolds, they do have the area set aside to knock out and stick the fill tube. You'll just have to knock it out and then grind it down enough to get the fill tube to press in.

Edelbrock also has some that include oil filler tubes. I've seen them advertised in the past year.

Yeah but those are single planes. I have a vintage edelbrock torker scorpion single plane with the air gap and the filler neck in great condition. I'm looking to see if I can find a dual plane with the neck for a reasonable price.

An old Edelbrock C3B, C3BX or C4BX will have what you want. I have a couple of these in my garage.

The old Edelbrocks show up on e-bay all the time and they're cheap!

I used an Edelbrock Performer RPM and drilled it for an oil fill tube. I also drilled and tapped a hole for the heater hose fitting.
