Saw an ad in car magazine but forgot the name of the manufacturer. NOT K&N but similar product to fit "open" air cleaner for '69 Camaro 14 inch. Air cleaner was actually blue in color. Please help.

Please help. 67camss/rs Sep 6th, 03, 03:19 PM I think what you are talking about is the "Accel Kool Blue" air filter. I know "Summit" carries these and probably "Jegs". :D MangeMD Sep 6th, 03, 04:41 PM Yes, Accel makes one...dunno if it is high flow though. Summit carries another one that is blue/high flow/14". I have one on my motor right now. http://webpages.charter.net/cremeans/motor.jpg I think it's made by Holley...it's in their catalog (I don't have one with me tonight or I would tell you for sure). Toad Sep 6th, 03, 09:01 PM Mange, nice lookin' motor, where did you get those headers? I've never seen them with 2 into 1 collectors. Anyway, is the filter blue or is just the oil you put on it blue? I still don't understand how putting oil on an air filter (like K&N) can allow air to flow through it better. MangeMD Sep 6th, 03, 09:56 PM Toad, Thanks! Those are Thorley Tri-Y's. The filter itself is blue, it doesn't use any oil. Gary ssdanny69 Sep 7th, 03, 02:50 PM Thanks guys. Doesn't Holley also make one? MangeMD Sep 7th, 03, 06:37 PM I think it's made by Holley...it's in their catalog (I don't have one with me tonight or I would tell you for sure).Yes, they do. |
