Greetings All

Just spent my winter installing new wheels, tires, disc brakes and multi-leafs on a 67. Just wondering what everything is worth?

Wheels- 2XB's with chrome rings and Chevy hub caps, 2YW's with same,
1XB with F70-14 red stripe (new?)
Tires- 4 BF Good TA's with 1/4" tread P205/70R14
Drum Brakes- 4 with all the hardware (2 front spindles) and all the
hardware
Mono Leafs- good condition

About $125 a ton last time I checked the scrap yard. Seriously I swapped my 67 over to multileafs & disc brakes last year and still have the drums. I did scrap the springs though. There just isn't much demand for that stuff.

The monos should not be scrapped if they are original :), there are a few of us that will re-arc the originals (like me) to get more use out of them, but the process breaks them occasionally. So we need spares. But they are only worth it if they are close to free and shipping is not too expensive. :)

I was watching and buying rally wheels recently. Between $30 and $40 each a little more for a complete set.

Hey, I sold my leaf springs off my 69 for $82 plus shipping on ebay a couple of years ago and sold all of my suspension and steering on this forum for decent coin a couple of years ago (the only thing that didn't sell was the center link, no one likes used ones). The magic number seems to be about $50 an item unless it's small. There is always someone out there that wants original stuff so don't send it to the scrap yard before trying to sell it here or on ebay, what's it doing besides taking up space in the garage?

I imagine folks are little bit more thrifty with their money these days so that might work in your favor with used original parts for a decent price. Scrap metal prices have dropped along with everything else, unless of course you have copper.

See, this guy needs a drum hub! http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=155465

Never throw anything away! You can give it away, because the Karma comes back! My motto! :D

Thanks guys. I have a feeling the mono's were replaced by the previous owner. They came out pretty easy and the paint looks relatively fresh for whatever that's worth.

Kevin, feelin the karma, made the hub(s) available to the guy if he wants them.

Thought the tires with the rally chrome would be worth a little more. Probably hang on to them.

Shawn, on the monos, if they are the same width front to back, then they are replacements. If there are wider at the ends and narrower at the axle, then it is original.

The rims would be worth the most to the car they matched, 69 Chevelles.

Thanks for sharing the Karma! :)
