hi Guys,
67 genuine ss 396 bascilly standard
Would this normally be fitted with 12 bolt standard
and is reasonable to good condition overall,
what is a ball park price?
How much more money do they fetch over say a SBC 67 SS?

Yes, all SS396 cars (and Z28, and SS350, and later L30/M20) were equipped with the 12-bolt rear.

Real 4N cars (L35 SS396 325 HP, 4,003 produced) bring good money here. Probably upward of $40K, depending on condition, documentation, and options.
Real 4K cars (L78 SS396 375 HP, 1,138 produced) bring a lot more. Probably upward of $60K, depending on condition, documentation, and options.
The market is down, and I haven't seen many of the 67s sell lately, but real, documented cars still command "good" prices. Hopefully someone who tracks the 67 big block cars closer than I do will check in here.

I sold my RS/SS396 Feb. 2008 for around 30K. It was a non-matching car. Rear was original, but the rest of the drivetrain was not. It was also an auto which held it back a little. Judging from that experience I'd say Eric is pretty close. Good solid NOM cars at the time were anywhere from $25-35K with matching cars starting around 35K and going up from there.
396 cars seem to go for 10-15% more than a comparable SB SS.
You can see pics of my car below for reference.
