I have a large truck radiator in my Camaro. Its a BBC and has no cooling problems. This radiator has my transmission lines to it and the tranny cooler mounted on it.

I'd like to go to a nicer looking aluminim radiator.
First, will the aluminum cool as well as this one does?

2nd, will this be any weight savings for me on track day?

If it cools as well and will save me some weight, what brands are recommended?

Thanks for any help,

I guess first answer the questions. Yes to both. Will cool better and save weight. The last question not so easy. How much do you want to spend. I will say up front I bought mine off ebay from entropy and have been very pleased with it(bbc 427). Now there are multiiple companys that make bolt in radiators for your car. you can spend $1800 or just a few hundered depending on how fancy you want. You might do a search here under bbc aluminum radiators and should get many hits. both jegs and summit offer basic kits for your car. I am not aware off hand of any bad kits maybe some others have info on what to stay away from. Just let your pocketbook be your guide. good luck mark

Thanks,
I plan to spend about 500 on it.

I want to spend a little more on some hoses and maybe a new fan. I figure the biggest fan I can get in there ought to be about right. The one I have could have an inch or so more diameter to it.
