I would like to purchase a new rear end for my 68 RS this year. I currently have a 10 bolt 3.08 with mono leaf which came with the car. Do I convert to multi leaf? I know there are many other "better" options, but if I could go to multi leaf now for a good price, later I can do more. Or, do I bit the bullet and do it all at once?
Cheers

Your life would be much simpler if you swapped to multi-leaf at the same time you install the new rear. It would eliminate the need to buy/build spacers to use a mono in a multi perch. While you're at it, you might as well get the multi leaf shock plates and do it all in swell foop. Your mono shocks will work, but you'll need to locate a set of the muli-leaf studs to mount them at the bottom.

The difference between a worn wet of mono leaf springs and a good set of multi leafs is night and day. Your worn mono leafs are probably sagging a bit so a lowered set of springs would come closer to matching your worn leaf spring ride height, assuming you like your ride height as it is. I would do a set of Hotchkis multi leafs at the same time. We can set you up with a Moser 12 bolt, there is no extra charge for multi leaf spring perches, and we have the Hotchkis springs on sale for $360 right now
