With no details other than a fuzzy pic of each car it's impossible to answer your question but welcome to Team Camaro. What looks like possibly a late 60s Chevelle hiding behind the yellow Camaro in the first pic is more interesting to me. What is it and is it also for sale ?

Joe.. you should get a good deal on any of those camaros. People wont straight out and say it but I'll say it... alot of guys are not so into the late 70's camaro. those are still not "hot items" the 70-73 camaro is starting to get reconized .. dunno when the late ones will !! but please dont quote me.

first of all welcome to t/c. all pictures of cars really doesnt tell other conditions of cars. like rear frame rails rockers rear quarters. interior and floor boards. engine running good or not.if you can replace rear quarters yourself or need a body person. how much money you want to dump in the car to get looking nice and running good. before you know it you spent 20-30 grand on the car very easily. good luck on any you decide to buy.

Sorry about the pic I was buying them online ....well i will go look at them later in the week before buying ...
Thanks for the advice.

Oh by the way i can do body work by myself...My cousin is a camaro lover and plans on doing the mechanical work for me while teaching me some things for my future project.

If you're looking at gathering up a few second generation Camaros to restore and hold onto as a future investment I think the 78-81 Z/28s are still a bargain. 4 speed cars would bring the most money in my opinion and these cars are being cut up for circle track racecars every day so the numbers of good condition cars is dropping fast. The 74-77 models are just plain ugly with their bumper car style bumpers but there are guys who like them as well.

Welcome to the TC site, Joe.

With 7K in your pocket...would you not be further ahead to pick up a first gen Cam, and do a restore on it, esp if you don't have to farm the work out? It would appreciate a lot faster and the end result would be worth more in the long run...but that's just my biased first gen perspective.

another welcome, Joe. :waving:

saw a really nice '75 priced @ $8,000 at the Indianapolis In swap meet this past winter. Arizona car, a/c, 6 cyl, auto trans.. body was straight as glass; interior needed a tune-up but was driveable. I thought 8Gs was a pretty good deal for someone wanting a beginner car.
I have a sweet-spot for the 70s~series, as I had a '75 and flogged the crap out of it ! only issue I remember vividly on those cars was the doors are really bulky and hinge pins seemed to always require maintenance... and they rusted easily in the rear quarters. the way they were designed they held road crap and moisture.
what is that 2nd car-picture ?
I don't recall ever seeing one with fender-louvers. not saying they didn't make 'em, just never saw one. that could be a rarity.

Nothing at all rare about it. The one 2nd gen Camaro I owned that I should have kept was a Canadian built 81 Z/28 that was made to stay in Canada and somehow ended up here. No computer, no catalytic converter, true dual exhaust from the factory, L82 engine with a Super T10 4 speed, 200KPH speedo, etc. Not US EPA certified. Up here in NH we run across Canadian stuff now & then and that one was a keeper and a fun car to drive.

i wanted to get a 1st gen also....
Anyone have any ideas on where i should start with my restoration ....
what color do you think would be better
and do you think 7k is enough.... I think it wil be esp since most of the labor will be done by me and a family member...

I like the 79 Z's .... but personally if it were me .. I would put your money together to buy ONE better representation of the car you want than buying 3 project cars. I am speaking from experience

For a first gen buy the best , a 1969 model year .... let the games begin:D
