I'm a long time lurker and finally joined, great board! I have a few questions that I thought I'd consult the experts about. I've been looking to pick up a 1st gen to build for awhile now, and I know a guy who has one, here are the details: It's a '69 RS, Daytona yellow with black stripes and vinyl roof. It's been sitting in this warehouse since the early '90s and is COVERED with bird crap.

It's a roller, was a 327/auto, still has the original dealer badge on the car, so it may be an original paint car "not that it matters". Did I mention covered in bird crap? Sadly the windows are also rolled down, but from what I remember the interior was complete, granted I haven't seen this car in a few years. I want to say it was mini-tubbed also, or it had some type of hack to it. It looks like it was a "street machine" at one time, but is fairly complete and from what I remember...not really molested, atleast where it could be easily reversed. Keep in mind these are rough memories I have of the car, it seemed very solid from what I remember, but I can't varify that yet until I look at it again and take a magnet to it. 40yrs of previous owners can do wonders with these things...

And I know posts like these are worthless without any pics, but unfortunately I do not have any. I'm also the anti-"whats it worth" type of person when It comes to posts like these on forums, but since this section was created for it, I figured what the heck. So what would you guys think based on my vague description of a pictureless car?:o I was thinking more or less around 7k...

Just a guess, lower, 5K for a roller, but that is depending on how bad the tub job is and how deep the bird crap is. JMO.

Also factor in the thickness of the bondo, and the severity of the hack job. The cheapest thing I've seen on Ebay of late was a Minn.car similar to this the had opening bid of $4000 and NO bidders.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll try to snag some pics to update the thread with. The car is no cream puff, but from what I remember it wasn't too bad at all. I'm just trying to price an offer, but I don't want to insult him either...
