I'm installing the Lokar under-dash e-brake in my 68. The firewall mounting holes and dash mounting hole do not line up, looks like I will have to do some modifying. Has anyone who installed this kit run into the same problem and if so how did you solve it? It would help if you could post some pics showing how you mounted it.

I know this post is a few months old....
I used the stock foot brake (parking/emergency) with the under dash cable part number Lokar EC 8001U
I mated them with the "Wilwood" 330-9371 or Lokar EC 81FU for the Wilwood Disc with parking brake.

Rick, would you be able to post some pics from under the dash so I can see how you have the cable attached to the foot brake assy? It would help alot, thanks.

Oh, and a pic from under the car where you connected to the parking brake cable too. I've been trying to figure out a good spot for that. Thanks again!

here are some pics.

1st..attachment to stock foot brake...nothing different
2nd..through firewall
3rd..firewall engine compartment
4th..going from left to right..footbrake cable in middle (between the two uncut cables) attaching to the block of the rear system.
5th..block going to rear cables
6th..rear cables going to the wilwood disc with internal parking brakes.

I mounted the bracket to floor board. Could be mounted against the subframe. I just want the cables flush with floor board.

hey thanks for the pics! That's a clean set up. Did you have to relocate where the cables run through the firewall?

nope, stock hole. Had to use a thin spacer to make it secure (used a wilwood caliper shim/washer that was lying around) against the firewall passenger compartment. The bronze ring under the clip in pic 2.

It is a two part system...first cable (single cable) runs from the foot brake (pic 1)to the brass block that is connected the the dual cable system that runs to the rear pass/driver parking brake.

look at the attachment (open one of the "hand brake" pics, 2nd and 3rd row) and I think you will understand how the cables hook up.

I did something very similar. I used the stock cable from the pedal. I tapped the brass block to fit the existing threads on the original cable. I then screwed the brass block onto the original cable and used the set screws to attach the 2 cables that connect to the Wilwood ebrakes. I put a nut on both sides of the brass block as well.
