is there a tool to remove the bracket under the momo steering wheel ? or a short cut to do it? trying to fix horn and removed the momo wheel to find the bracket with a 7/8 nut under it. i removed the nut and washer but cant remove the bracket to get to the blinker stuff and contacts to see if there's a way to connect wire from horn button down steering column to relay and horns. i've seen the detailed pics on another thread showing the spring and wire with plunger on the end, all thats missing on mine. , thx ajs

68 dosen't have the lock plate, are you trying to get the steering wheel adpter off
right under the 7/8 nut, if so you need a steering wheel puller, bolts to the hub and
has a center push bolt, will come right off.

Huh! - What I use is a Large Plumbers Reducer and Strap a piece of Flat Bar across it, then use "U" clamps under the Steering Wheel then Run a Bolt that tightens against the steering column shaft to lift the Wheel off the shaft; other words, fabricate a Puller.

If you are talking about an adapter like this...

use the puller on the right side of this pic.

The adapter has 2 holes with threads you screw the puller bolts into and then tighten the center bolt down onto the shaft with the nut removed.
