Is it a real Z/28? Does it have it's original engine, trans and rearend? Any history on the car? It makes a very big difference price wise with only 602 '67 Z/28's being produced...

In 68 there were 7199 z28's.
It will need it's original engine, or a protecto plate to prove it's a z in 68.
There are other clues, df coded wheels, 4 leaf springs, 6k rpm tach, 4 piston disc brakes.
Also common stuff, no AC, 4 speed trans.
Without the POP, or MO coded engine, it's another camaro.

Things just got a little more difficult. At least with a 67 Z/28, the cowl tag will decode as a Z/28. The 68 Z/28's is the most difficult Z/28 to authenticate. Especially if the "MO" block is missing. BTW, 7199 68 Z/28's were made by GM.

"POP" is the protect-o-plate, it's documentation used to identify what a car is/was from the factory. It's attached to the original owners manual.

"MO" is a code stamped on the block that would tell you if the block belonged in a '67 or '68 Z/28

Sometimes we forget not everyone is into this stuff!! :D

Can we get any more litteral? Is your owners manual/warranty booklet stashed in it's envelope inside it's plastic storage bag and in the glove box? ;) lol I always thought of the warranty info as part of the owners manual even if it was a seperate piece. :D Here's how the CRG words it...

The Protect-o-Plate (POP) is a small stamped metal plate that was provided with each vehicle by the factory as part of the warranty and service package and was included in the owner's manual warranty documentation
