I recently (yesterday) purchased a 1969 Camaro X11 D80 with paint code 67 (burgandy) with a white vinal top and white interior. The car came from Las Vegas. The title is a Nevada title issued in 1976. The car is about 99% complete and has been sitting for quite some time (I would say atleast 10 years).

It has a 350 (non matching) which does not run. I will work on it this next week to see if I can get it running. The original muncie 4 speed, original power disc brakes, power steering, factory AC, console,10 bolt rear with multi-leaf springs ( I thought this was strange, I always thought 10 bolts had mono leaf).

The car is all together and the body is extremeley solid, except for a little area on the drivers side rear quarter panel behind the tire and a few holes in the trunk pan. The floor pans, rockers, fenders, doors, etc are perfect.

The car needs restored, paint, interior kit, motor rebuilt, suspension rebuilt, etc....

With these options and the solid body what do you think its worth? I'm just curious if I got a good deal on this one...Thanks

Without pics its hard to give a good value,but---i would guess 9500-11500.
is your x-11 code an RS? I have an RS with a 10 bolt rear and it also has multi-leaf springs.

I think the only 10 bolts found on SS350 were behind PG transmissions. (they were multi-leaf--most, if not all were 5 leaf, but it's based on weight of options. I would think A/C would definitely put require 5 leaf)

My guess is, either the 4 speed is not original, or the 10 bolt is not. Check the routing of the speedo cable. If it comes out on the driver side near the fuse block connection, it was not a Muncie.

According to this http://www.camaros.org/suspen.shtml#MonoVsMultiSprings all 350s used multi leaf springs in '69

I'm fairly certain its an original 4 speed car, just by the factory cut out in the floor and by the pedals. The brake pedal still has the worn down disc brake emblem on the pad.

I'm not sure if the rear end is original or not (I will put the car on a lift tomorrow night and check all the numbers underneath it). I don't think its an SS...I did not see the dual exhaust hanger plate on the rear frame rails (it did have threaded holes though) and it has a bowtie emblem on the tail panel...I'm thinking it's just a highly optioned X11 non SS..but I could be wrong.

Also, on the front fender where the engine emblem usually goes it has a 3 and a 7...it's missing the middle emblem. The other fender has no emblems. So I'm not sure if the factory engine was a 307 or a 327.

Thanks, Dan
