It was a red one on a car carrier coming toward Boston. The only Camaro on the car carrier. First one I've seen in this area!

View Full Version : Saw one in MA today Melrose RS Apr 22nd, 09, 08:08 PM It was a red one on a car carrier coming toward Boston. The only Camaro on the car carrier. First one I've seen in this area! 67 Convertible Apr 23rd, 09, 06:10 AM I actually drove one last night (around the dealer parking lot) after dinner. My local chevy dealer got it in yesterday morning. A victory red 1LT/RS. Amazing power for a V6 automatic. Both my wife and I fell in love with it (not the color) after seeing it in person. It's one of the most comfortable cars I've ever sat in, but it's definately a 2 passenger car. (No comfortable room for back passenger legs or feet) Thinking seriously of going back tomorrow and ordering one, but have a couple questions. 1) No spare tire??? (I will be using this as a daily driver) "There is no jack or spare tire and no place to store a tire in the 2010 camaro. Your vehicle has a tire sealant and compressor kit that uses a liquid tire sealant to temporarily seal up a 1/4" puncture in the tread area of the tire." I'm kinda concerned about this, is this normal with the new cars? Anyone have any experience with the sealant thing? Does it work? You can buy an optional compact spare for $150, but there's really not much room for it and not sure if it comes with the jack. 2) GM could possibly be shutting down U.S. plants for July and August according to this mornings news. I think if I order a car it would be in before July, but should I be somewhat concerned about buying a new car from a struggling Chevrolet? Any thoughts or comments? kencar69 Apr 23rd, 09, 09:26 AM Someone told me the other day that their new Challenger is set up the same way, no spare but sealeant. ckaram Apr 23rd, 09, 07:13 PM It doesn't appear the Canadian plant is on the shut-down list. From MSNBC: "The troubled automaker has 22 assembly plants in North America. It normally shuts down its assembly plants for two weeks each summer to prepare for the new model year, but besides Lordstown, there will be more downtime at plants in Arlington, Texas; Bowling Green, Ky.; Detroit-Hamtramck, Mich.; Flint, Mich.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; Lansing, Mich.; Pontiac, Mich.; Shreveport, La.; Spring Hill, Tenn.; Wilmington, Del.; Wentzville, Mo.; and Silao, Mexico." Mark C Apr 25th, 09, 07:05 AM Don't know where your red one was going, but theres a red one sitting infront of Long Chevrolet on Rt 9 in Framingham. Saw it there last night, wasn't there Thursday night. Melrose RS Apr 25th, 09, 09:01 PM Saw a black one today at Hillcrest Corvette in Salem. Mark, the red one was on the Mass Pike. Could have been going to Framingham! wheezer May 8th, 09, 07:32 AM I went to see one on Weds and I was very disappointed. Im 5'10" and had to tilt my head sideways to sit in the back seat. Plenty of leg room but ridiculous head room. I can sit in every other generations back seat. Guess I will have to wait for the convert. Maybe it will have more head room. |
