Hey guys,
I have never seen one of these cars but one just went up for sale locally. Its a 77' Firebird Skybird which is a special apperance package (baby blue) in 77'. I believe it came in another year as well. 33978 miles. Runs great. All original except headliner
They don't know how many were produced. This car is ALL ORIGINAl window sticker survivor. Not perfect and does show aging. Runs and drives great. It does have the v-8
Whats she worth?

Here's one for @10K - http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/cto/1108727597.html
Maybe you can compare conditions.
I had a secretary in the late 70's that had an Esprit "Red" - it was butt uggly JMHO...
(edit) Hey, I found a guy with a whole site dedicated to them - http://www.firebirdtransamparts.com/redsky/ladybirds.htm

I saw a few of those when they came out, and my opinion now is the same as then... you'd have to pay me to take it. Makes me throw up.
Unless the Poncho guys are really gaga over them, or it is really cheap...

It's neat that it's a survivor... A few years back I found a Red Bird on a used car lot's back row, did all of the research and it was real... And I was asked "who the heck would bother to fake one?" Anyway, not real desirable, but I think the condition is the important thing with that one... of course I'd build it differently, because it really has no extra collector value. Me I'd plop down $3500 for it and not feel bad.

Go for it! I think they are neat. One thing is for sure, Pontiac isn't going to be making any more of them!
Can you believe GM dropped Pontiac and kept Buick? That's the kind of fine strategic thinking that got them where they are today.

I think I remember a lady selling hers at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale this year. You should be able to find it in the results section of their site. She had a nice car and she bought it new. I told her to remove her personalized plate and save it as a momento. She borrowed a screwdriver form somebody and did it in the staging lanes.
