I have a 1980 camaro with the original clutch fan w/180 thermostat. im running a 350 motor with about 350 hp. car runs at a temp about 190-215 degree's. I was thinking of running a electric fan to help keep the car cooler. can I run the clutch fan as well as a eletric fan? im using the factory rad too 3 flow. just had the rad flushed too. also if I can run a electric fan on the car along with the clutch fan would i run a electric fan on front of rad or behind the rad and would I use one the pushes or pulls the air? sorry so many questions, just cant afford to be wrong anymore :p

ok since this thread has been here for 3 weeks with no replies maybe im asking the wrong question. so ill try it again. Im wanting to put a electric fan on my 1980 camaro. what side should I place the fan on? front side or backside? it just has the clutch fan on it for now. and should I get a fan that pushes air through the rad or pulls it through?:noway:

i'd try a new fan clutch before putting an electric fan in it. for all out airflow, you aren't going to beat a stock HD clutch fan.
but if you do go electric, you want to get a "puller" that mounts on the engine side of the core and totally get rid of the stock clutch fan and shroud.

well was kinda wanting to keep the clutch fan and run a electric fan also. for when im sitting still through a drive through or at races.
