Been there, done that as they say... It should be as close as you can get it to 4". Mine is 3 15/16" and it works out fine. I asked one of the pros on here to know this info, so you can trust it. (Thanks Brian!)

I have read that when putting back together the sheet metal it will be a pain in the but. I was prepared for this. The one thing that I want to know is, is it normal for the sheetmetal not to butt up flush to each other. For example:
The firewall to the rocker. When I put these two together the tab on the rocker that touches the toe board does not fully go flush up to the toe board/firwall. Will I come across alot of this?
