butternutz68 May 3rd, 09, 05:28 PM Mark, since you are in Lexington i would check out Camaro Central. You can inspect them there and would not have to pay for shipping.Save some $$. I have bought many parts from them and am very pleased with service.

X2 on that!
Musclerodz May 4th, 09, 09:49 AM The USA made ones are Convertible only, we just hung a pair of Golden legion quarters from Goodmark and the right side fits well, left side the door jamb fold is stamped 1/8" short, and was confirmed with Goodmark with the rest of their stock on Friday. Customer is wanting to hanga Dynacorn quarter in its place so we will see if it is any better. For the most part, they all fit about the same, each piece requires some tweaking, just maybe not in the same location.
Rick@NPD May 5th, 09, 07:32 AM In my comparisons, the Golden Legion 1/4's have better detail, line and crease crispness, cleanly trimmed and executed around the perimeters, and overall straightness/quality compared to the Dynacorns...
But we've not encountered this 1/8" inch problem, which we'll have to look into as well. I'll be interested in seeing your review of the Dynacorn vs. Golden Legion, side-to-side.
gateman May 5th, 09, 03:38 PM Thanks everybody, going to talk to Mr. Belair Bob next....
Rick, Thanks for the heads up on Dynacorn.....You guys are great, I have spent about 2-3k on various parts for my 1st and 2nd gens with you, NEVER any problems....got a bunch of real good NOS stuff, that is just waiting to be installed.. Don't let the one "negative" post get you down, my customer sevice from NPD had been top notch, even sent couple hundred dolllars of stuff back that I misordered and it was a breeze, no problems and your guys said don't worry about, just send it back for refund.... ( just thought I would throw that out there ) :hurray:

Hey Mark... Before that one incident, the customer service I have received from NPD has been 100% and top notch as well. However,
after spending thousands of dollars there too, that is why I was extremely shocked to have the "negative" experience happened with them. I was simply telling like it was in that "negative" post as you mentioned. If you read all my posts/thread, you will learn that I am quite a "positive" guy.
Rick has since contacted me and fully regained my faith as a lifelong NDP customer. He is an outstanding example of what NPD is as a company. Thanks again Rick for all your help!

Stefano May 5th, 09, 09:37 PM We have also used Belair Bob with tremendous results!
Rick@NPD May 6th, 09, 07:54 AM Thanks for the positive remarks from all, I appreciate it... And regarding Todd, he had every right to be tweaked, so no harm done.
Over the years, I've found that customer service is alot like marriage. You can fight it, or you can flow with it. Nobody's perfect, and I've found that the worst customer service employees have always been the ones who were certain that they knew everything there was to know. Those types always get into fights.
gateman May 13th, 09, 08:27 PM just to follow up, went with Belair Bob.. I got some of the newer CHL stampings from Goodmark... Appears to be have crisper lines and better detail than the Golden Legion ones Goodmark also sells.. I guess fitment will be the real test... BTW, I agree Belair Bob rules!! Very good businessman....:hurray:
Rhino May 13th, 09, 09:15 PM I know this is a point of contention with a lot of people, although I wholeheartedly agree... you get what you pay for. After hanging a set of Golden Legion panels, and then doing a set of goodmarks, the Goodmark quarters win hands down. The stamping of the Goodmark panels is much better, as is the fit of the trimmed sections of the panel.
Before I purchased, I looked at Dynacorn, and Goodmark. Actually held them in my hand. If price were no object I would have gone with Goodmark. At the time, I was on a tight car budget and went with Golden Legion. I don't regret that decision. For the price they make a great panel, it simply requires a little more finish body work. Since my time is pretty cheap, I went with GL.
On my next car I'll be going with Goodmark.
EDIT: There was about 3 month between getting the GL and Goodmark panels. Maybe I got a set of GL panels on a bad day. With that said, the panels I typically have seen come from a goodmark box have been better stampings. Maybe they also made changes to the process in that 3 month timeframe. I just felt I needed to add this info for full disclosure. I have nothing against GL, it's just my personal preference.
