I have a 2004R I am installing in my 68 coupe and I thought the Shiftworks Cable mounting bracket that mounts to the trans was universal for turbo 350, 2004R, etc, but the holes do not line up at all.

Is the cable end bracket different for the Turbo 350 and 2004R?

I tried to drill new holes, or elongate the existing holes, but the bracket is made of stainless and all of the drill bits I have tried just polish the surface. I know a Cobalt bit will cut it, but I just wanted to make sure if they were different in some way...

I called Shiftworks and they said the bracket and shift arm are different for the 2004R vs the Turbo 350..
They are shipping me the parts today..Thanks for your help.
