Iam looking at buying a 68 and wondering if anyone could help me find some info about stripes....I would like to know more about all the options,I see the SS stripe on some and am curious about the big stripes on some cars that I see on the hood and rear.....is there some reference material I could buy.....I have always owned corvettes but sure do love these pony cars....Thanks, Randy

For info specifically on the models and different striping, try this (see "paint" row of chart).

The hood and deck lid stripes are for the Z28 model only (and 69 pace car replicas).

For 68 SS package had either the D91 "bumblebee" or D90 "hockey stick" depending on production date.

Many, many, many 1st gens have the hood and deck lid stripes, but that doesn't make them "right".
