I did some searching and I saw some good stuff. My main problem right now is my window will roll up to high. It seems like my passenger door won't allow this to happen. Is my Drivers door missing something inside to stop it from rolling up so high? Any diagrams...pictures....documentation.....explanati ons of what bolts do what adjustments...I will read any of this stuff...Damn near ready to sell my classic and go buy a new one!!!! I had this car restored back in 1999. I got t-boned in the drivers side. I've been trying to get it back on the road ever since. I had a door skin put on, but the door has been a part for a long time. I don't know if all the parts are installed or are installed correctly. Any documentation....diagrams...or pictures would probably be a big help!

Yes there are two stops that control how far the window will go up. Sorry, I dont have a pictures handy. The front stop is basicly an L shaped braket with a piece of rubber over the end, & is just held on with one bolt. The rear stop is made of pot metal type of material and has a kind of a cone shape made on it. It is held on with two bolts.
I hope this helps,
:beers:

Another idea, take the door panel off the other side (passenger) and use it as a guide as to what goes where.

I went searching for an answer.... and BINGO, Team Camaro comes through again.
I'm rebuilding the passenger door guts today and couldn't find anywhere in the Fisher manual showing these. Well, one grainy picture that's impossible to read. I guessed at the rear upper-travel stop. But the front one still eludes me.
What does it bolt to?

Anyone?
I still can't figure out where the smaller front stop goes. There's nothing to bolt it to. My drivers door is apart also so that's no help.

The front window plate has a place for the stop. This is the door glass mounting plate. At the very front of this plate there should be a slot for the stop to slid in to. It slids in from the top of the plate. You should be able to see this through the top front hole in the inter door.
Check out the link from Ricks below. Notice that slot in the right side of the right plate.

I was thinking this stop hit the regulator, not installed in the track like newer car. From the Ricks link that looks to be the case.

Hmmmm... so it actually bolts to the window itself? Makes sense since there are NO holes anywhere in the door for it to go. Now I'm wondering why I had it with the door hardware and not still attached to the window.
I'll have to look at my windows stored up in the bedroom closet and see if other parts are on there as well. :)
Thanks

You may had to remove the stop to remove the window. The stop goes up and hits a piece on the window track.
