I just painted me car and i am haveing a hard time getting the sanding marks out of the clear, i am using 2000 wet sanding and using a real aggressive compound and am still haveing a hard time getting them to go away. The color is a dark color. Any ideas?

I'd guess ya need a more aggressive pad....what pad & compound are ya using? Some may say that ya need to sand down to a finer grit before compounding but I ended with 2000 also and wasn't much effort removing the scratches.

The first thing I would try is getting a 3000 grit with a soft intermediate pad between it and the DA, and wet sand it with that first. I assume you are hand sanding? Hand sanding will leave worse scratches than with a wet DA.
I hand sanded with 1500, then went to the 3000 wet on a DA and it buffs super easy. Brian

Are you using a foam pad? If you are, switch to wool.
