want to put tpi on my 69 350. Where is the best place to find parts list and "how to" knowledge?

There are actually lots of info out there. I typed in "TPI swap camaro" in google and lots of stuff came up.

go to thirdgen.org, they will have all the TPI info you will ever need. Information on how to tune them too. The simplest way is to find third gen with TPI and take everyhting off it with the harness.

Second that recommendation for the "thirdgen.org" site. It's amazing what those members have done with cracking the code of the GM ECM/PCM and the different ways to tune them.

I've used that site for the install of TPI on my 69 Z28 with 406cid small block. I'm still tuning it.

The stock TPI manifold, runners and plenum were built to flow (and increase low end torque) for a 305CID. Stock TPI intake runs out of flow for a 350 very quickly up the RPM range.

I bought a larger aftermarket TPI base manifold, runners and throttle body($$$). The Holley Stealth Ram intake may have been a cheaper and better route. The stock wiring harness was just too messy to clean up, so I bought a new aftermarket one ($$).

If I had to do it again, I might have gone with GM Throttle Body Injection (TBI) instead. It would have been much cheaper and easier compared to TPI. I could have kept my Holley high rise intake which flows more than the stock TPI intake and saved ($$$). I just wanted near instant start (without having to choke, pump, hold, rev a carb) and more precise fuel control so the engine wasn't too rich or too lean. I also could have kept the cowl induction hood operative.

Check out the thirdgen.ord message boards for "DIY Prom", "TPI", "TBI" and "Alternative Port Injection".

Good luck!

A member (Mike aka ULTM8Z) over at NastyZ28 put this together.
