Im doing a 700r4 tranny swap in my 69 camaro with a 2000 crate motor 350/330hp and putting in a 700r4. Ordered a crossmember from chevy bowtie in ca. And dont fit.same thing when i got a crossmember from summit racing, same problem, looks like whole engine and tranny need to come back about 2-4 inches for mount to fit. Holes on frame dont line up either. Anyone have this trouble or any suggestions, help please

My crossmember is a modified Th-400 crossmember. I have heard the easiest swap is to use your original crossmember and slide it back a couple of inches in the sub-frame. Then drill new holes in the sub-frame to mount it. Usually there are 3-holes on each side of your sub-frame. Make sure you are not trying to use the forward holes. You may have to use the rearward holes and drill the farthest back holes.
