Hi Dylan,

A true SS car small block or Big Block should have a 12-bolt rear end with Multi-Leaf
suspension.

thanks guys..... because there is a 69 in ny state ,selling a car like this 10 bolt 4 spd claiming its the real deal .350 300hp ss etc thanks again

Get the numbers off the engine pad and post them here. If it is a Van Nuys car or early Norwood car, the partial VIN of the car will be stamped there. If it's a mid-Dec or later Norwood car, the VIN will be stamped in the block near the oil filter. There is also an assembly code stamped on the pad. That will tell you what chassis the engine was originally out of. It's possible that the car is a real SS that someone switched the rear end to a 10 bolt, but before you pony upp any money for an SS, I'd make sure it really is.
