I am currently having my 1979 Camaro Rally Sport repainted. It was involved in a front end accident a few years ago and took all this time to find all the parts needed to repair the front end. I decided to repaint the car as well. It has been taken down to the metal. The only thing I haven't been able to locate is a stripe and decal kit. One website, thepartsplaceinc.com, listed it at their website as an item you can order, but it immediately went as a back order item and they never were able to get it.

I've checked all over the internet and can't find a kit anywhere. The stripe kit is orange-red-gold-red-orange.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do, or know of a place I can either order them or have them made?

Did you try Phoenix Graphix? (www.phoenixgraphix.com). They advertise: "Any decal, any car, any year". I have used them in the past for hard to find Mopar decals, and they are very well-known for Transam and Z-28 decal kits for second gens. Not sure about RS though. I have heard they do custom work, but I bet that is pricey. Good luck!

Actually I had checked out their website but didn't see the stripe kit as being available. Looking at their home page, it did say to call them if you didn't see what you were looking for, as not everything they have is listed. So I gave them a call. The guy said he thought what I was looking for was in "development". He took my # and is supposed to get back to me. I'll let you know how I make out once I hear back from them.
