I have waited for months for my Pro Topline Heads to come in (long story)...and finally they come.

My old Combo:
*327 (orgininally a 327ci 210HP version)
Original 8.5:1 compression
*Unknown mild cam (150 cranking compression)
*Original 210HP heads (with 1.74 int. valves)
*Performer Manifold
*Dynomax Headers, flowmasters dump before axle
*Edelbrock 600cfm Carb
*Mallory Unilite ignition
*Accessories are flex fan, water pump, and alternator
*TH350 shift kit
*Stock Converter (footbrakes to 1500)
*Aluminum driveshaft
*BFG street radials
*3.73 Gears and Eaton Posi
*3120# raceweight (and awesome driving smile.gif , thats the secret)

This exact combo ran a 14.6@94mph with 2.2 60'

Now, my swap will consist of:
*Pro Topline's 200cc 64cc Aluminum Heads (I went
big for my future plans), 20lbs lighter, each
*Weiand 7546 manifold (Dual Plane, 1.2" taller than Performer, David Vizard recommended)
*Comp Cams Pro Magnum Rockers

Based on several calculators, rwhp is at 210.
Desktop Dyno predicts rwhp to go from 210 to 270,

I think my swap will be very interesting to a lot of people, since Toplines seem to be all the rage, and a lot of people are stuck with these smaller displacements.

What are your ET@mph predictions with that swap?

Also, I might want Santa to pick me up a pair of drag radials (either Nitto or BFG). With a 2.2 60' on radials, where do you think the stickies will put me as far as ET and 60' are concerned? Thanks! graemlins/hurray.gif

No takers? I should have created a more interesting subject line.

good time on that stock LF7!

Well, did you go with the 64cc chambered Pro Toplines? If so, you'll be up to about a 9:1 compression. Couldn't really guess on the stock cam... I think that cam should run outta steam around 5000rpm.

I'm gonna guess you'll knock it down to about a 14.0... depending on your 60' times. The 200cc runner may soften up the bottom end to the point that you won't have as bad of traction..?

I'm kind of babbling now. Anyway! Have fun with it and let us know how it goes! :D

I think now would be a very good time to upgrade your torque convertor as well. You are stepping up to a MUCH larger intake port, and a larger intake as well. I don't think you'll see as much et improvement as you might think because that stock torque convertor is going to kill your launch. You should see a nice trap speed increase with the extra top end breathing assuming the engine can overcome the torque loss down low. Something around 2400-2500 rpm stall speed should work real nice with the rest of the setup. JMO

It would also be an excellent time to change your cam, or at least pull out your old one and see what it is.
