ive got a 89 camaro. im building a 406 sbc for it and im looking for headers, full long tube. Finding long tube headers is not really the promblem but what ive been hearing from my some of my buddy is that most would not fit right and ill have clearance problems. I have been told that hooker super comp will fit right but there $600 witch is alot , not trying to sound cheap , if i had to i would get them or i would i make what ever fit. but does any one know of any that would fit and for a good price. thanks

i had hedman headers and they fit fine, i'm selling them now because moving to different motor.

are you runnin a manual or an automatic? that makes all the difference. automatic. hedmann makes a good set of long tubes for about 160$ and hooker makes their comp headers for about 200$.hookers super comps are the only kind produced to fit with a manual trans. personally i recently installed some super comps on my 83 5 speed. they slipped in nicely. they're 509$ through jegs and i believe they're worth every penny. good luck in your search and i hope i can be of some help. :beers:
