I was looking at buying a plain jane 16ft car hauler and adding a dove tail and winch to it, but after going and looking at the trailer it looked very narrow. I measured the width and got 6' 3", is this normal for a 16' car hauler? Also I am wondering on average what is the fender height from the floor to the top of the fender, this one measured 9". Any measurements/opinions would be great.

Thanks Dustin

75" sounds like a utility trailer not a car hauler. It probably has a liter frame as well. Mine is 83"x16' with 9" high fenders off the deck.
When I was looking at new ones a few yrs back they all seemed to be about this same width. My doors clear the fenders by about an inch. (maybe)

price out material but then also take a look at these 2 companies. Both are about 4hrs from you and very reasonably priced at @ $1600 for a 16' new trailer.

You might try Big Tex as well - they're in Mt. Pleasant, Tx, which doesn't look too far. I've got a 70DM. Its been a great trailer.
