I saw this car on ebay awhile back.

Stuck with me, no surprise there.

Then I saw Tom's (aka hotrodizz) ZL-1 clone build and it really lit a fire under me to do one in the same bare bones COPO style in black.

I also wanted redlines plus have it lowered. Todd on the pro touring lat-g boards was kind enough to photoshop it into this. In real life I'd switch to wider tires on 17" wheels but gotta keep the dog dishes for that 'stealth' look. :D

Thanks Mark.

You're right, they really add to the look with those 'caps.

Got me to thinking when redlines were first put on a car.

Maybe the '64 GTO's?

I posted this "I think 17" dog dish with Diamondback red lines would great with the lowered ride height." in the other ZL1 thread and I stand by it here too. I love the idea of the red lines in 17" with the dog dish. It's a nice twist on a "period correct" look.

For those of us who really like this "period correct" look, the image Todd created incorporating the above components you mentioned Jack, sure speaks for itself IMO.

I think with a all black car like that the lowered effect is needed or nice rake. Very good looking car though.
