I have tried to search and am unable to find an answer that fits my specific question. I recently just finished installing the Hotchkis TVS including the rear sway bar on my 67 Camaro w/ 454 BB. I ran into the trouble of having to cut off my current exhaust to get the rear sway bar to fit, and also because the mufflers rubbed the driveshaft after changing the rear leaf springs. While having to redo the exhaust anyway, I am planning to go ahead and install heddman shorty headers at the same time. Do you guys know or have any experiance w/ any certain systems that would mount directly up to the shorty headers and also fit on a vehicle w/ the TVS system, Maybe any of the flowmaster or Magnaflow systems? Or is my best option to take it to a muffler shop and have them make one up? Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt

I would check out www.jegs.com and www.summitracing.com to check out the complete systems and go from there.
Yes you may need to have a shop bend a couple of pieces but if you get the mandrel bends the are alot nicer and a 2.5 will fit over and out the back..
I have a BBC in a 69 Camaro with 2-1/8 with 3.5 flange Hooker Supper Comps and 3" exhaust to my X-pipe and 3" pipe to my Flowmaster supper 40's then 2.5 out the back.

Hi Matt -
From testing in our R&D shop, we know the Flowmaster system is a direct bolt-on. It's hard to test all the systems on the market since there are so many, but we know the transverse muffler systems don't fit as well as true duals with twin longitudinal mufflers.
Sorry I can't give you a more exact answer, but there are so many systems on the market (plus all the custom setups) it's difficult to measure them all.

Thanks for the replies... sounds like I will be ordering the flowmaster system soon then. Just wanted to know that whatever I ordered would fit around the sway bar before getting under the car with it, thanks!

Matt, I have the Flowmaster American Thunder 2.5 kit on my 67 vert. It fits fine and bolted right in with no problems. I did replace the vert X Brace with the Hotchkis X brace to give me the clearance.

Matt,There's got to be a good local exhaust shop in your town ,I had my guy install Magnaflow with 2 1/2 " and crossover ,this way he can custom build you a system ,My drive line loop's are off center cause ,I installed them when I was running a T-400 way back and that offset the DL ,the 2nd pic. was aug. 2007,just after he did the exhaust, and the old setup with powerglide, the loop's I removed and may reinstall .Happy Motoring
