Does your car have a pcv valve?? And is it pulling vac when your car is running?? Where do you think the oil is coming from??

think its from the timing chain cover,l do not see a pcv valve, none on the original valve covers but new covers have vents on each side. does any one have a pic on a original 327 2bbl engine for a 67 camaro to show me where it should be. thanks again.ps i am getting a very small amount of oil out of my oil fill tube which is also a vent.blow bye??

Keep in mind..most folks will install a long bolt in the rh side of the block to secure the fuel pump pushrod during pump install.Once the pump is installed..a shorter bolt is reinstalled to block off the hole.Something to check.

I am agreeing with fatblock on this one, chech to see if the upper bolt is in place on the lower pass side of the engine just forward of the fuel pump.

Not sure if you're using a factory timing chain cover, so if you are this probably isn't the problem, but I've had trouble with aftermarket timing covers. The channel that holds the front oil pan gasket is just tack welded on and oil can get down between that channel and the cover, in front of the oil pan gasket. The pan may not be leaking, but oil still appears running down the front of the pan. Just a thought. Bill

Do you have the vent in the back of the lifter valley? If you are running stock 67 engine set up there should be a vent in the back of the block to relieve crank case pressure. My rs car has a pcv valve in the oil filler kneck but most of the 67 cars did not have a pcv valve. (my rs is a pollution pump car)

If it's on the front, to see if it's seeping out of the round timing cover seal where the balancer/crank goes through the timing cover.
I've also had a problem with supposedly correct oil filters being of a slightly smaller diameter than other brands causing a leak at the oil filter seal.
