This gem was dropped off today. Not really a rescue job, paint was nice except for a few areas and the crooks and crannies are not detailed. Otherwise paintjob is solid and will make a good base for the new job. We will be staightening out the gaps, undercoat the bottom of the car with Raptor, installing DSE firewall plate and repainting the car. We should also be dressing it out with a pile of billet goodies as well. Not a full build for us but should keep us busy for a few weeks. Owner is in the automotive chemical business, which means this toy will be at trade shows and car shows around the country promoting their products.

For those that will probably ask, motivation is monster 496.

Small update, we got the deck area and trunk gaps close but not final. Below is a before and after pic. Also found out previous painter used bondo for seam sealer on the tail panel, bad juju and already cracking. So I am digging all that out and fixing it.

Today some of the jewelry showed up so we can do final fitting of the tail lights, deck lid, and hood. More to come soon.

Small update. Baer 13" front and rear track kit came in yesterday. Also we have color on the shell. Coverage on the color is very good, so we expect to get away with panel painting this one, test panels we sprayed look good. Tinted Raptor coating going on the underside this weekend and then let the reassembly begin

And before 10 people ask, color is Mini Cooper Lightning Blue Metallic

Car is 95% done and being picked up this week. I will post pics in a day or two. Fesler stuff is nice, a little different, so it boils down to personal preferences with certain parts. What is really nice about Marquez is the availability of reverse light option

Here they are, car turned out pretty nice for the work we did. Welded up the woodgrain dash holes and painted the dash, straightened the gaps, smoothed and painted steel bumper to look like endura, tinted Raptor inside and out, Fesler hinges, 3d tail lights, twist core support bars, dse firewall plate, painted Covan's dash, Baer brakes (not installed yet). More than likely getting the rest of the billet goodies, just not ordered yet. Here are a few pics as we loaded the car to leave today

Mike -

how tricky were the trunk hinges?
Can this install be done on a "finished" car without too much trouble?

I did not use them either, just need to make sure you wipe your fingerprints off so not to leave any acids or oils behind to damage the polish
