Hey guy's just started install of vintage air and was wondering which one i need trinary or binary?I have electric fans with no relay they are wired to come on when motor starts.

didn't know if this is a stupid question or not but the trinary that i have say's it wires in to fan relay and i don't have a relay on my fans.

In my opinion, you need a fan relay that will handle the current draw from your electric fans. Mine is going to be wired for the fans to come on when the ignition is on, but it will be through a relay. If you use a trinary, you can wire one fan to come on when the igntion is on and the other through the trinary(and a seperate relay)

I have a VA kit that I've partially installed on my '68, which came with the binary switch. I don't have electric fans now, but if I add them later, is there any reason that you can't have two leads coming from the one contact on the binary switch (one to the compressor & one to fan relay) ? Thanks, Ron.
