I just wanted to know has anybody on this site ever installed a power trunk release solinoid on their first gen camaro? If so can u post up pics and info on how u installed it. I want to install one just for security reasons due to a bad experiance i had a month ago with my subwoofers.

Thanks
Any help and advise will be greatly appreciated.

They are pretty simple. Just unbolt the old latch and bolt the solenoid powered one in. Then Run a power wire.

This is very simple--you unbolt the old one and bolt in the new one. Find a ground and then find a hot wire for power.

They are on ebay all the time and go for $25 to $60.

I had posted up a question about what cars to find these in a while back and i cant find it for nothing. what I remember is that Fords used a similar set up in the 70's if you want to look for doner cars - so far no luck for me 70s car are hard to find even down south.

Simple latch install, I did not install a latch button, but just wired it to the trunk channel on my remote control / security system.
