: LS1/T56 guys...would like to know your setup....
Kokamo May 28th, 09, 05:26 PM Hey guys, I was wondering what setup you all are using.
~Frame stands
~Mount adapters
~X-Member
~Headers
~And most importantly....gear ratio.
I just want to see if anyone has my same setup and see if they like it.
Thanks,
~Joe
BadMrFrossty May 28th, 09, 06:40 PM X2 as I plan a LSX swap in my 67
jcapps May 28th, 09, 06:59 PM I bought an LS6 and t56 out of a Caddy CTSV. Street and performance sells the stuff that bolts right in, no headaches. I bought from others and had to send the parts back.
As for the headers, I did the same, S & P
The trans crossmember was harder. Since the t56 in the ctsv is shorter and mounts differently I used my stock mount and moved it rearward. Welded on some angle iron and mounted it, worked out perfect and very clean looking.
As for the wiring and programming I will go to them also. A friend knows 4 people who have used them so far and each time the engine started the first try with no issues
BadMrFrossty May 28th, 09, 09:54 PM Ok, so S&P basically has everything you need for the swap?
Kokamo May 29th, 09, 05:50 AM Just for the record.....

~Hooker long tube headers
~Custom X-member

BonzoHansen Jun 3rd, 09, 12:06 PM You guys should add steering option to your list too (standard sized box, smaller 600, or R&P conversion). And oil pan used (modified 4th gen camaro, autokrafters, ATS, etc)
Good idea for a thread.

Yes and they are always ready to help with questions.

ATS-style (flipped) mount plates
Energy Suspension short&wide poly mounts
327 frame stands
Autokraft (Champ) pan
ATS crossmember with ES poly mount
AGR 12:1 power steering box
Hooker headers (which DO NOT clear the steering)
3.70 gear
3.70 would be sweet with shorter tires. With the 27.1 inch tires I'm running right now, I'd like more gear (then again, this is coming from a guy running a 4.10 in hih daily-driver '00 Mustang).
