I have a 68 Coupe that was equipped from the factory with air conditioning. I am thinking about piecing together a factory air setup, as original. Approximately how much more value would this add to the car versus doing the A/C delete and having heat only?

If it is the only thing, that would not be original, then put it back to stock. If it is far from original, put in a Vintage Air. They are much cheaper in the long run. Why did you even go with an American Graffiti A/C delete ? Didn't your old heat work ? I would think a non-working a/c would not be as bad as not original.

I went with the American Grafitti A/C delete box because the A/C heater box was the only component of the original A/C system that came with the car when I got it. There was no suitcase on the firewall, so I was going to set up the car with heat only, thus the delete cover.

I understand now. :) I would go with the Vintage Air if you want a/c. A stock system will really cost some $$. Vintage Air, now has the gen. IV system which would be much nicer than the SureFit system that I have.

Yes, but wouldn't the stock a/c system make the car worth more than if it had a Vintage Air system?

It depends, if everthing else is stock, it may lower the value. Would a TKO 5-speed add or lose value ? Would a 383 engine add or lose value ? It all depends on if you want the car 100% stock or not.
