Hi there,
Most first generation Camaros have the air conditioning compressor on the right side (passenger side) and a few have it on the left (driver's side).
What makes the difference?
Thanks,

For the 69 model year, all chevrolets adapted new heads with front accessory boltholes.
They went to a new long water pump which moved everything forward enough to bolt the alternator right to the front of the head. All the other accessory mountings also changed at this time. (only corvettes stayed with the short pump, driver side alternator until 1982)
68 and older = Drivers side alternator, pass side A/C, short water pump.
69 and newer = pass side alternator, drivers side a/c, long water pump.
That's stock and original of course. With the number of engine swaps and crate motors over the years, many many 67-68 camaros now have long pumps and pass side alternators.
