Why do I not have it in the first post of the thread, but I have it in all the rest?
EDIT: Now my question is why I have the edit function in this first post, but not in the sponsor's section?
Mike I'm sure Al will have a more definitive answer if there is something different in the Sponsors forum. In general the edit feature is on a timer. Once you post the timer starts and after a specific time frame the edit function goes away. It allows you time to go back and re-read your post and make changes but it then protects the forums from someone saying something that gets folks all riled up then after others reply hours later changing what was originally posted. This really helps Al, the moderators and I when there is conflict or vendor bashing in the forums.

A similar situation I have seen in regards to deleting is when someone deletes their own thread. How does that happen???
David F.
It is timed based and is global, meaning that the setting applies to everyone. I'd like to have it based on groups but it's all or nothing. If we leave it open to edit then like mentioned, someone comes back after a week and changes their text so all the replies no longer make sense.
Supporting members do have the ability to delete their own posts and is part of the member classifieds section so they can remove sold items.
